Tributes to brave cancer-stricken East Kilbride teen who touched the hearts of the town
Loving tributes are being paid to an incredibly brave East Kilbride teenager who lost his battle with a rare brain cancer.

He slowly lost the ability to walk and regularly suffered excruciating pain.
"We miss Max terribly and there is a Max-shaped hole in our family. Thankfully, he is no longer in pain or suffering but it is still hard to accept that our fit lad who was playing football 13 months ago has suffered so much and left us forever." He ended up back in hospital in January after experiencing more pain and, following a full-body scan, a second tumour was found on his brain and one on his spine. Unfortunately Max became so ill he wasn’t able to finish more treatment and was transferred to the Kilbryde Hospice to receive end-of-life care.
