Plans have been put forward for more than 60 affordable homes to be built on '"unmanaged" land in a Nottinghamshire town. between Clare Road and the A38 in Sutton-in-Ashfield, if new proposals are approved by Ashfield District Council.
The site, which is a single field, is three hectares in total and has been left unmanaged for more than 10 years. Informal recreational usage has created a circular path around the site, but the rest of the site is said to be difficult to access.A public bridleway passes through the site close to the eastern boundary, linking the footway on Kings Mill Road East to Clare Road.
