A vicious early-hours attack near Ormskirk hospital saw a man was punched in the face and threatened with a hammer.
Police and paramedics were called to the incident on Thompson Avenue in the early hours of Sunday .. Lancashrie Constabulary were alerted at around 1am reports that a man in his 40s had been attacked. Officers said the victim in his 40s was punched in the face and threatened with a hammer by two men and a woman. No arrests have been made yet and enquires are still ongoing.A Lancashire Police spokesperson told the ECHO: "We were called at around 1am on Sunday to a report of an assault on Thompson Avenue, Ormskirk.
"It was reported the victim, a man in his 40s, was punched in the face and threatened with a hammer by two men and a woman. "No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting the log number 0093 of 18 December."
