BREAKING: Vodafone has announced a massive programme of job losses, that will impact its UK operations, in a bid to recover its financial performance. 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233 and YouTube
The company's new chief executive said the telecoms firm had become uncompetitive and 11,000 roles would go over the next three years.Vodafone was yet to respond to requests for information on how many UK roles would be affected but it was confirmed that its UK headquarters, in Berkshire, would see an impact.
Margherita Della Valle, who was permanently appointed CEO last month, said:"Our performance has not been good enough. "My priorities are customers, simplicity and growth. We will simplify our organisation, cutting out complexity to regain our competitiveness."
