Ivan Little took to the streets of the city centre to see if the data was at all accurate

When you are trying to describe the typical local man, would 'sexy' be on your top list of adjectives?A survey conducted by She Magazine over three decades ago revealed that 'Ulster men are Britain's sexiest' - a shock to a number of members of the public interviewed by UTV at the time.

Ivan said: "And that will hardly come as a surprise to us blokes, given that modesty is another of our better features - but what about the women? "What do they make of it all? Well, I've been out and about in the city centre in Belfast today to find out if they think the results of the survey are accurate."

In a collection of hilarious responses, the public argues both sides of the results - with descriptions including "ignorant, bigheaded and no sex appeal" on one side and "very romantic" on the other. To watch more footage, visit www.digitalfilmarchive.net For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here and sign up to our What's On newsletter

'You just emotionally break': understanding COVID-19 narratives through public health humanities'You just emotionally break': understanding COVID-19 narratives through public health humanitiesA new health humanities essay from the University of Missouri highlights how the narrative of many news stories detailing the challenges of health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic often emphasized individual experiences.
