We tasted quiche from M&S, Morrisons, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's and Tesco
If there's one thing that makes for a simple summer tea, it's a good old quiche. In the current financial climate, it's a bigger bonus than ever to be able to eat something straight from the packet.
They all came in similar size boxes, mostly covering the quiche itself, but three having a little 'look at me' cellophane window to see the product inside - one being Aldi's 'new look' Crestwood quiche.While three - from Sainsbury's, Asda and M&S - are perfectly round with a more sunken appearance to the filling, the other six have the traditional crimped edge to the pastry.
The Lidl one, on the other hand, was a little too bland, and that rubbery top did nothing for the texture.
