West Ham have reportedly put a Paris Saint-Germain pair on their shortlist to replace Issa Diop, who’s nearing a £17m switch to Fulham. WHUFC
There have been rumours of their interest in Thilo Kehrer for much of the summer and those have intensified in the wake of Diop’s decision.
The 25-year-old defender has made 128 appearances for the Ligue 1 side since his £33.3m move from Schalke in the summer of 2018. Moyes is also said to be an admirer of Abdou Diallo, 26, who’s made 75 appearances since his £28.8m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. The report claims West Ham covet the versatility of the pair, both of whom can play at centre-back, full-back and in central midfield.Speaking after Sunday’s defeat to Manchester City, Moyes admitted they still have “a bit of work to do” in the transfer market this summer.“Look our centre-back [£28million signing Nayef Aguerd] gets injured in a pre-season friendly and we can’t do anything about that. So we have attempted to do it.
“Our centre-forward is getting himself fit. The goalkeeper we signed [Alphonse Areola] plays today after Lukasz [Fabianski] gets injured. You can see we’ve still got a bit of work to do.”
