Cheltenham Borough Council rejected the planning application, saying it would have a “detrimental impact on the design and character of the area”.
An application was submitted by Clarke Telecom’s Michal Laskowski on June 6 this year to the council.However, on July 28 the council turned the proposal down. It said in a letter: “The proposed mast, by reason of its size, siting and appearance, would have a detrimental impact on the design and character of the area and would result in unacceptable harm to designated heritage assets, including the character of the Conservation Area and the setting of Pittville Park, a Grade II listed, registered Park and Garden.
