'Armed cops' have locked down a set of flats in the east end of Glasgow amid reports of multiple slashings.Unconfirmed reports from locals suggested 'a number of people' had been slashed. It's understood police quickly cordoned off an area near the flats while a number of people were taken away by ambulance crews.Local Facebook page No1seems2care said: "Reports of a number of people allegedly slashed over at Sandyhills Flats and Sandyhills Park near Shettleston.
They later added: "The situation at Sandyhills Flats has now turned into a siege with armed police surrounding the flat. Dozens of police are in attendance." One local resident added: "Just spoke to a friend shivering outside police won't let them in flats hope everyone OK and that she's warm soon."Police Scotland have been asked for comment.
