Jessica Horne spat at police as she was removed from the flight
A mum attacked Ryanair flight attendants and police officers when she was asked to stop vaping on board the plane.
After her behaviour onboard she was met on the runway by police after the plane landed. However when in police custody she attacked two officers.Horne, of Briercliffe, Burnley, admitted entering an aircraft when drunk, racially aggravated harassment and two offences of assaulting a police officer, but was handed a suspended sentence. The court heard that on March 29 last year, Horne, her partner and her child boarded after she had been drinking beer "all day’ at the resort.
Things then escalated, with Horne using racist slurs towards the steward, who is of Filipino origin. Ms Boocock added: "She told him to ‘go back home’. As she was being escorted away she spat at one officer and later, whilst being transferred to police custody, she scratched another officer with her acrylic nails, and punched her in the face. She was left with a cut to her eye and a deep scratch mark down her cheek.
Mitigating, Kristian Cavanagh said there had been no further offending since the flight last March, and that she had never been to prison before. He said she had been taking steps to address her addiction, and cited a probation report which described her as "polite."
