The money is available for the worst off through the Household Support Fund
A one-off payment of up to £200 is set to land in thousands of bank accounts and people are urged to check if they are eligible.
Kirklees Council is providing grants to help with costs for food, energy, and essential items - you can apply for a grant on the council website. If the council identify that you are eligible for support, you will get a letter to let you know how and when you will receive it. There are conditions though - families must be in need of “urgent financial assistance and not have enough income or savings to meet the eligible costs the scheme can help with”.
