Over 5,000 people took on the challenge this year
The 42nd edition of the Robin Hood Half Marathon saw over 7,000 runners take on the streets of Nottingham in the highly anticipated annual event. The marathon started at 9.30am on Sunday, September 24, at the Victoria Embankment and was followed by the Mini Marathon at 10am for all under 17 participants.
The finish line was also located at the Embankment by the River Trent, with the loop being 13.1 miles long. As a result of the event, there was some travel disruption across the city, including restricted bus routes and closed roads, to allow the popular race to go through the city. The runners took off in six different groups, based on their abilities, and attendance numbers have returned to pre-pandemic levels.
