She's among the first contestants confirmed for the new show
Some Strictly Come Dancing fans believe Angela Rippon could win the Glitterball trophy. The 78-year-old, who hosted 90s show Come Dancing, which preceded Strictly, was announced as one of the first few contestants for the 2023 series of the popular BBC show.
"Angela Rippon is getting all my votes every week," one fan wrote on Twitter. A second echoed: "She's having all my votes.""Angela Rippon alone is going to be worth the licence fee," a third said. "Angela Rippon, I love you, you're my winner," a fourth commented. And a fifth added: "I don’t even watch Strictly but I want Angela Rippon to win.
"But it will be wonderful if I can last long enough to show and demonstrate that even at my age it is genuinely possible for people who are older to dance... to feel a million dollars."
